1. Tinie Tempah (UK)

Attempting to break into the American market Tinie Tempah has collaborated with several American Rappers. His high energy single Trampoline from his last album has a feature from 2 Chainz. Other collaborators include Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa,  J Cole, and most recently Pusha T.

2. Faarow (Somalia)

This is a talented up-and-coming sister duo. Their mash-up/covers are quite good, too. Favorite: 'Ready or Not vs Chandelier'.

3. Ibeyi (Cuba/France)

Another sister duo!  Twins Lisa-Kaindé Diaz and Naomi Diaz are the daughters of the late Anga Díaz, who was a member of Buena Vista Social Club. The sisters sing in English and Yoruba. Ibeyi actually means twins in Yoruba. Fun Fact: The Yoruba tribe they descend from presents the highest dizygotic (fraternal) twinning rate in the world.

4. Tiwa Savage (Nigeria)

Tiwa Savage is probably best known internationally for her hit 'Eminado' Ft. Don Jazzy. You really can't go wrong with any of her music!

5. Corneille (Rwanda/Germany)

Corneille sings in French and English. But you don't really need to speak French to understand that this song is about having a good time!

6. Zona 5 (Angola)

This is one of their older videos but still a favorite. The cheeky chorus translates to shake/lift your skirt. Here is the group's newest single 'Encardir A Area' Ft Anselmo Ralph.

7. ChocQuibTown (Colombia)

The Latin Grammy award-winning Afro-Colombian group includes Carlos "Tostao" Valencia, his wife Gloria "Goyo" Martínez, and Gloria's brother Miguel "Slow" Martínez.

8. Stromae (Belgium)

This song was the Belgian Red Devils' anthem during the World Cup. Paul Van Haver aka Stromae is the top artist in Francophone countries and working his way to top artist in the rest of the world. He is currently touring the US with rave reviews. Mr. Van Haver also has a clothing line, Mosaert. Think J.Crew meets African wax print.

9. Ella Eyre (UK)

This 21 year old singer is probably best known for her soulful feature on Rudimental's Waiting All Night.  Her debut studio album ,entitled Feline, is set to be released on 14 August 2015.

10. Labrinth (UK)

The usually upbeat and uplifting Labrinth slowed it down to mourn for his lost love.

 11. Anselmo Ralph (Angola)

Anselmo Ralph is one of the largest artists in the Lusophone world. He is the first Angolan to receive a platinum record in Portugal. He has quite a catalog of songs.

12. Heavy-K (South Africa)

Like this? Heavy-K has quite the inventory of chill Afro-house songs
